Zakynthos 1989

I may be doing the Ionian a disfavour, but I prefer the Cyclades. I found the Ionian very tourist oriented. It may be that in the Cyclades I know where and when to visit to find the Greece I enjoy, and I did not spend long enough in the rights parts of the Ionian at the right times of year.

I was particularly interestd in the Solomos-Kalvos museum in Odos Vassili Yiogiou - a small number of exhibits, but interesting all the same. Kalvos has an especial interest for me in that in his later years Kalvos lived, and was buried, at Keddington near Louth in Lincolnshire.
